We had a good turnout at this year's reunion in spite of the heat. Here are my Uncle Ed Decker and Aunt Irene admiring my son Rob's new daughter, Eleanor Ruby Decker (my first granddaughter and second grandchild!). This picture captures the oldest and youngest of those in attendance.

Hello to the Deckers. Just saw your blog. You may not remember us, but my husband and I, David and Elisa Betzer, were able to attend the Decker/Drake/Frink Family Reunion back when we were first married and were visiting with Loren C. Betzer and Leona, David's mom and dad. You probably remember Loren (son of Peter C. Betzer and Mary E. Drake, daughter of James E. Drake and Lydia Decker Drake. We are very interested in your family history research and would like to compare notes, since we have also been conducting research on the family ancestry. We have extensive information going back several generations on the Betzers, Drakes, Frinks, and Taylors, but don't have anything past Casper Decker on the Decker line. Do you know where the Decker family originated in Germany? Do you know who we need to contact to find out about the next family reunion? We would like to plan to attend and bring the information with us to share with the family. We also unearthed a number of photos of past family reunions, including pictures of Loren with Clarence Drake, etc. Along with these were a number of really nice tintypes of the Deckers, Frinks, and Drakes from several generations back. We can identify some of them but not all of them and would like to see if anyone in the family might recognize them.
