Nearly 80º outside yesterday. Right now (6:30PM) we are seeing this with more on the way, somewhere between 6 and 12 inches by tomorrow night. Record setting weather all over the region.
We should all be ashamed of ourselves for not attending to the climate change that has been staring us in the face for so many years now. Congress also refuses to do anything. (Gosh, you wouldn't want to do anything that would interfere with big business interests.) Add this to their constant bending to lobbyists and refusal to take any actions in the best interests of this nation (gun controls, sensible economic reforms, sensible defense spending and policies, ...), and it can be very easy to feel things are hopeless. OK, I'm grumpy tonight. Guess I'll just be happy that we have such a wonderful place to which to escape, even when it snows, and look forward to thoroughly enjoying our upcoming visit with family this weekend.
