You may recall my April 14th posting about new bird houses I had built. I was installing them at various places around our lake home. One type of bird house was a platform for Robins. We had disliked their prior choices for nests, since they tended to be in places under our deck where we would disturb them as we used the back door. I put blocks in those places to discourage them and placed the platforms in preferred spots. Anyway, as you will see below, things didn't work out quite as planned. That's often the case with Robins. It is as if they said, "Excuse me, but I'll be the judge of where the nest should be." By the way, I put up two of these and got identical results in both locations!
